The room was really clean, but no shower in our room, just a bath tub which was challenging. The bidet was no there so an issue when you can’t flush toilet paper. The room itself was excellent though, comfy bed but noisy on a Friday night from party goers outside hotel.

We upgraded our room before we arrived and the room we had was beautiful with a large balcony and views of the Acropolis. The pool is fantastic and we booked our private hour every day of our stay. The included breakfast in the cafe across the street was very good offering a good range of brunch options including several which suited my dairy intolerance. There were around 7 or 8 good choices on the included menu and you could pay extra for additional options, which were also very good. The hotel is in a fantastic location in a lively area with lots of bars and restaurants and around 15 minutes walk from the Acropolis and Agora. The hotel was generally very quiet at night, with church bells on Sunday morning. We loved it and would go back!

Great location & nicely decorated; but loud

My husband and I stayed at The Residence upon our arrival to Athens. I was surprised to see reception hours are only 8a-4p, so we never interacted with the staff. I do really like the keyless lobby & room entry system they have which made it not a problem to arrive after reception closes. They sent me a WhatsApp message with the key code which worked great. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Have no complaints there. I took off a star because we had a ground floor room and our window opened right up to an alleyway where people walked and parked their motorbikes. We kept the curtains closed the whole time. Additionally, it was very loud whenever other guests would enter the hotel as they had to walk right by our room. We were routinely woken up throughout the night by voices. We could also hear voices outside in the alleyway as well. So while the room is as advertised and very nicely decorated (and clean), the noise & disruptions, and limited reception hours were negatives of our stay. Location, however, was perfect

Once we figured out how to set our own temperature in the room it was great! Bed and couch were very comfortable and they had a crib set up for my son as well.

Disappointment

Description was totally misleading! Pool had to be booked and only for 1 hour per day. Not as advertised. Room was not clean, couch had blanket over it to hide the disgrace. Balcony was not clean, lights bulbs burnt out, balcony loungers and chair cushions were ripped and dirty. Service was very limited, only during the day and ending at 4 pm. Ice and other basics that you would normally expect for a top end hotel were not available. Advertised was a rooftop bar with hottub. However it was closed the entire 5 days we were there. Found out after we arrived that it was seasonal only. Again false advertising. Could see the Acropolis from balcony as shown in hotel promotional pics but view was mostly of a graffiti parking lot and other view obstructing buildings. Somewhat of a view, but really for an advertised ‘beautiful luxury suite’ that we paid 650.00 Canadian for, it was severely overpriced for what was received. This was suppose to be our romantic spot!!😢💔 but it was quite a disappointment. The finale: booked a car through the hotel which they assured us would arrive despite a taxi strike. It didn’t show. Had to lug all our luggage to the metro in order to make our ferry connection.

Great location. Unfortunately we had very loud guests waking us up at all hours. (Not the hotels fault). The bathroom was sub par. Had to bend over and hold a hose for a shower in a superior room - wouldn’t book again.
