Great rooms and reception were great. Bar lively and food was good. Pool excellent. Slight let down with buffet breakfast that could have been made by the plate rather than drying in the bain marie..staff were really focussed on keeping the buffet topped up....but that meant we had to call for coffee after several minutes... having said that, would stay again if in area...almost 10/10!

From the moment we arrived till we departed the staff could not do enough to help you, the hotel is well situated for the transport network, to help foreign travellers the additional of room safes would be beneficial,

Our room was right over the gym - if you like loud music and constant thudding noises and being woken at 6:30 am then this is for you. Would not recommend at all- manager was unhelpful and staff clearly knew right away where our room was and what the thudding noises were without having to even think about it. Manager claims no one else has complained about this room. It’s AWFUL- stay away and do yourself a favor. There is nothing in Athenry - stay in the city if Galway and you will have a MUCH better vacation.

This is not a 4 star and I am very skeptical of the overall review rating. I'd give it a 2 or 3 star, and rate it a solid 6 overall. The room had an odd odor and was musty (it was warm.during my stay, so maybe that's why). The room was clean but dated. There was so much furniture in the hotel, but so random. The breakfast was not good. For what they had it seemed like old, reheated food.
