Explore colonial architecture at Plaza de los Héroes and discover pre-Columbian artifacts in the Museo del Barro. Take a boat tour along the Paraguay River or visit the historic Palacio de López when local joggers have it mostly to themselves.
Fantastic place to stay! Location is ideal, next to 2 huge shopping areas. Delimarket grocery store and coffee shops right across street. Everything was new and clean, and the staff responded instantly whenever I needed help. Bed was comfortable, with new sheets and pillows. Water pressure and shower were great. Kitchen has only 2 of each piece of cutlery, dish, etc. but stove, oven and microwave all worked well. Washer/dryer was a bonus. Rooftop pool small but nice. All in all, I highly...

Everything was perfect; clean room, simple but good breakfast and helpful staff. Most of all, I liked its convenient location just between the old and new Asunción.

My Spanish is not good but the front desk employees were so helpful! The room was a perfect size and extremely clean. I didn’t know I had a balcony so I was pleasantly surprised. The rooftop pool was also amazing! Conveniently, there was a small outdoor cafe across the street. Coffee and service were great. I would definitely stay here anytime I’m Asuncion!

Had a great stay here! The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the city. The terrace has a great view, nice pool although small, and is enjoyable to have breakfast there. The food and drinks were delicious. The location is the best as you are close to everything including pharmacy, supermarket, shopping, etc. I highly recommend.

Excellent reception. Very thorough on amenities. Went beyond expectations by providing birthday cake for my husband, unbeknownst to me!
Highly recommend this hotel.

I loved my stay at Las Lomas! Beautifully landscaped grounds and a nice pool. Open living room and sitting areas outside made it feel like home. Had dinner at the hotel one night, amazing! Very convenient location: a 7-minute walk to Shopping del Sol mall where I often had lunch in the food court. In the mall is a store named Overall, which sells Paraguayan handicrafts. I only have two complaints about the hotel. One, I found the pillows very hard. They should offer other options. Second, while...

Great hotel, great service, great location. Spacious apartment-style room, lots of space, great breakfast, centric in town. They arrange taxi service to and from the airport since I was arriving and leaving at wee-hours of the morning. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will recommend to others planning on visiting Asuncion.

If you're looking for something a little different than the traditional hotel experience, a stay at a bed and breakfast might be the perfect option for your trip. If you'd like to spend some time by the water during your time in Asunción, Playa de La Costanera and Aregua Municipal Beach are worth a stop.
Why choose B&Bs instead of traditional hotels?
B&Bs all have a unique charm. Whether it's a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the little details are what make bed and breakfasts a fun place to get away.
When you're planning your stay in Asunción, be sure to take into account the year-round temperatures. The hottest months are usually January and December with an average temp of 82°F, while the coldest months are July and June with an average of 66°F. The rainiest months in Asunción are October, November, April, and December, with each month seeing an average of 7 inches of rainfall.
What is there to do in Asunción?
When you want to explore some cultural attractions on your trip, Museum of Natural History and Museum of South American Football are worthy sites to check out. You might put Palacio de López and Playa de La Costanera on your list if you want to see more of the area.
How can I get to and around Asunción?
You can map out your trip in and around Asunción ahead of time with these transportation options. Fly into Asuncion (ASU-Silvio Pettirossi Intl.), which is located 8.6 mi (13.9 km) away. If you'd like to explore around the area, you may want a rental car for your journey.
