It is a small B&B in a very convenient location. Room is super clean and cozy. Walking distance to all attractions in town. Super friendly host provided warm breakfast, area map and area info.

Because it’s in the historic center of Assisi, parking is a few minutes away by car. There is a covered lot for €14 for 24 hours and a free public lot a little further away. Check in is easy and the rooms are basic but comfortable. Great for a short stay.

Giordano was a fantastic host! Property is in an excellent location. Parking is off site and a long arduous walk away. That being said, once parked, the car was not needed until leaving Assisi. Would definitely recommend this place!!!!

Assisi shines for hospitality!

What a GEM of a place! The gentlemen at the BnB was kind and works really hard to keep this place in tip top shape. He is kind, welcoming, and very helpful. The BnB is very clean and comfortable, everything we expected and more. I wished we had plan a day or two longer in Assisi, we would have been at home here. I hope to return to Assisi in the future and given the amazing stay and great hospitality we were shown, I would choose and recommend Alter Ego again and again! Bravo SIR, you are doing amazing!

Great location

Basic small hotel in a great location, right in the center of Assisi but far enough from the main square to be unaffected by noise from restaurants or tourist traffic. It's an old building, though, so you'll hear sounds from other guests and staff, including radio, tv, doors opening and closing, etc. It's quiet at night, and the AC works well. Room was advertised as having breakfast included, and many reviews mentioned a great breakfast, but the host didn't say anything about breakfast at check-in. A card in my room said breakfast was self-service, but the breakfast room only had vending machines with no prices and instructions only in Italian. The two elderly people who were in the room watching tv didn't offer to help (or really even say anything in response to my Buon Giorno) despite my obvious confusion, so perhaps they were also guests and didn't know what to do either. I found breakfast elsewhere, but if this matters to you ask for instructions at check-in.

Such a nice and helpful man runs this Bnb and such wonderful guests i met at breakfast! Great location as well, close to Matteotti bus stop- only a few minutes walk- with buses to both the train and airport for 2-5 euros!

Lovely local owned and run B&B

We enjoyed our stay in this small local owned and run B&B. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good with fresh made eggs if desired in a very lovely courtyard. Room was basic but sufficient. Good location. Would recommend!

Fantastic location smack dab in the middle of Assisi. Very hospitable host served us tea on arrival, marked a free map with his must see suggestions and was very available for questions. The breakfast was wonderful: eggs,typical Italian cold cuts,homemade cakes,fruit and made to order coffees. If you need gluten free just ask the night before. There is a great little mom and pop store across the street selling everything including, even their own fresh pressed olive oil and a line of their private label jams and truffle products. No elevator because its an original old Assisi house but I found the stairs vey doable. Would definitely go again.

This is one of those hidden treasures difficult to find. But when you find it... The place is right in the center of Assisi, at walking distance from all the possible places to visit and admire in this beautiful town. Everything is close by, from the momuments and locations to visit, to the restaurants, to the stores. We had the pleasure to meet the owner of the place. We got a great treatment. Everything was perfect. The only negative note: the parking. Since the place is in the historic center, it is not possible to park close by. However, there are plenty of parking lots nearby to use. Just keep in mind that Assisi is a small medieval town built on the mountain side and walking becomes a necessity in such places.

A experiência foi positiva. Ao ver o lado de fora, uma portinha, você não imagina como é por dentro. Como tudo, em.Assisi, é bem confortável por dentro. Ficamos em 3 pessoas, 1 casal e 1 solteiro. Haviam 2 camas, 1 de casal em 1 quarto e a de solteiro em 1 outro quarto, observação, os quartos não tem portas, mas muito confortáveis. Hotel bem central e perto dos pontos turísticos, cafés e restaurantes. O único porém ficou por conta do banheiro, onde o box era bem apertadinho, um gordinho, como meu esposo teve um.pouco de dificuldade em usá-lo. No geral, indicaria sem medo aos parentes e amigos.
