"This house is beautiful and immaculate and the owner had thought of everything for all ages from high chairs and travel cots to a shower seat in the walk-in shower. The location was ideal to so many places. The owner is lovely and was quick to resolve any issues. Unfortunately the house itself seems to be the only part of the property that has been renovated and what will be a lovely fairy garden, replete with waterfalls, was marred by construction rubbish. "The hotel was clean and we arrived at lunchtime thinking our room would not be ready until it 4 and it was ready. Only criticism is my daughter was looking forward to the train and it wasn’t running. Dinner was also a disaster. We booked for 6:45 and asked could we have the kids food as soon as it was ready so it could cool down. (3 year old and a one year old) 45 minutes later mine and my husbands mains came but the kids food didn’t come for another 15 minutes. So difficult to keep kids distracted for that long and as a family hotel this should have been better. (Kids biggest and chips and bowl of mash with gravy doesn’t take an hour) Would recommend the hotel but definitely not the dinner situation."
