「AVOID. Difficult to know where to start. This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. 「We rented a one bed flat at Vomero apartments in July 2025 and found it to be a gem of a period property with outstanding views from the balcony overlooking Torbay. The town is accessible. Louise and Sean were considerate hosts with fantastic quality of service. Highly recommend. 」

「Good stay, with a large comfortable, spotlessly clean, homely, well equipped apartment. Friendly staff. However, there were a couple of niggles, the TV was really small, old fashioned and not smart so no access to streaming services etc. There was also a surprise charge for daily electricity usage, which wasn’t mentioned during booking, and could really add up if you were staying for a few nights or more. 」

「The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

「It was comfortable and relaxing, which made the cold and rainy weather enjoyable (through the windows!).」

「A lovely setting for getting back to basics. Josh and Natalie we're incredible hosts who couldn't have done more. Highly recommend the breakfast hamper, the food was delicious with proper, yellow yolked, eggs! Our kids loved seeing the alpacas, chickens, guinea pigs, ducks and the glamping element. Can't recommend it enough.」

「Middle of March and still fairly cold .Main heating doesn’t stay long enough to heat up the apartment.I had to use the electric heating which run on a meter .I ended up paying £15 on the electricity meter for heating ,lights and cooker for 3 nights stay .The downside for me was paying to keep the electricity going .Just be aware when booking ,they have the old electricity meter where you have to pay extra to keep the electricity going for the duration in your stay 」
