Close to the Maasai Market so we could shop and send our merch home. We were within walking distance of the market and old clock tower. Staff was amazing and the food for bury breakfast and dinner was outstanding!

Comfortable, convenient hotel in Arusha

We had a great stay at the Kibo Palace. It was a great place to get some rest after a long flight, walkable to town where we enjoyed the Natural History Musuem and central market, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet with a good mix of local options, and a decent room. The pool hours were limited but otherwise a great stay. The hotel allowed us to keep the same room as we arrived a day early for our safari and only one night was part of the safari.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was good as we are there for breakfast (amazing buffet), lunch and dinner. The fitness centre was clean and had good equipment. Hotel is a little older with lots of charm and big rooms, an update to bathrooms would be the one suggestion to consider for improving as showers were small and water pressure low. Would highly recommend staying here

Start to an amazing holiday

Overall, it was an absolutely amazing experience. Extremely helpful staff, great service, amazing food options so overall very pleased with that. Close to the high street and restaurants are within walking distance and the ATM / banks are also opposite the hotel so very accessible. Almost everyone knows the hotel so very easy to get directions or use a taxi to get there. Overall: I'd highly recommend it! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I love this hotel so much that I have stayed here for four times already and will always stay here when I visit Arusha. The staff are just incredibly helpful and professional, from the front desk (Thank you Maryline!) to the restaurant wait staff (Elisha and Genarose!) to the porters and laundry staff. Great job everyone... oh and the chef and cooks. Wow, what great food. I love Kibo Palace1

Nice hotel. Great staff. Good facilities and location. Only complaint is the quality of sleep wasn’t great. The windows/doors aren’t very sound proof and the air conditioning in the room seems to loudly turn itself on throughout the night.

Nice Enough But…

The Kibo Palace is a nice enough hotel but i think overpriced. it was noisy the night I stayed thanks to a band playing poolside and there was virtually no water pressure in the shower. After weeks on safari, it was a disappointment not to enjoy a god shower.

Our first exposure was one of rudeness by the reception staff. No welcome or hello, just passports please. Apparently, she could not immediately find our booking and was “very put out”. She took our confirmation and after pointing out how much we paid for the room to another staff member, disappeared with no explanation to another room. Upon return with a disgusted attitude gave us a room key. Upon entering the room, we did not find any towels, glasses, or coffee for the morning. The rest of the staff has been wonderful, especially the bell hop and restaurant staff.

Internet is inefficient. OK for leisure travelers but tough on business use. Frequent municipal power failures requires better backup generators, and internet required constant re-entering of password. A better automatic reconnect feature is required
