"The king room I booked and paid for, I was told wasn’t available. The hotel was full and the only room they could give me was a twin. It was 5pm and I didn’t want the hassle of trying to get my money back and then drive back up the A34 to the Hilton (where I should have stayed from the onset) The twin room smelt of smoke! "Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...
