Our room was close to either the central heating boiler or ventilation or something else for the hotel, so was a little annoying throughout the night as it never went off. Bed was lovely, big TV, nice facilities however we had no milk for the tea/coffee machine. The surrounding areas is beautiful and we had some lovely walks. Apart from the small issues we had will study again. 」

「Marvellous large room with a similarly large lounge, with 2 sofas and a large TV, plus a decent bathroom. Was slightly noisy early in the evening but that stopped around 11. Very friendly staff who were very keen to help. Just a shame I couldn’t have stayed their for longer!」

「This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic. Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay. The location is very central for the surrounding walks,...
