The architecture is similar to the other State Park lodges, the rustic nature wood and stone construction which is beautiful and amazing. The lodge may be a little dated but well maintained and the rooms have received some updates. The food at the lodge was fresh and hot and made to order. "Last minute trip to Pittsburgh and found this gem. Great location walk to stadiums across from Pnc park. Room was very comfortable n clean had refrigerator cooktop dishwasher full bath and sitting area with desk. Bed was very comfortable. Great sleep. "

"Initially I was concerned because the path to my room was pretty rundown and dingy and the fitness room was a horrible mess. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. The decor is dated, but it was very clean and comfortable. I told the front desk about the condition of the fitness room, and when I went back it was all cleaned up. One of the best fitness rooms in terms of equipment and space I've ever seen at a hotel. The breakfasts were stellar! I will definitely stay here again."
