Had a great stay at niriides hotel. Really nothing to complain about, the location is great in Almyrida very close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. Lots of food options within a 5 min walk; traditional Greek, sushi, pizza, burgers. The staff were very helpful, and got us out of a jam. We self checked out early in the morning to catch a flight and forgot something in the room. I called the hotel number (definitely woke them up) and they were able to let us back in with plenty of time to make our flight. My only regret was that Almyrida is a little far from the main highways in Crete, so if you plan to visit the rest of the island you'll need to account for the extra travel time getting to and from the hotel. Otherwise, is a great destination for relaxing and enjoying the beach. Water was warm and clear, would definitely go back.

Great find

loved this place, I got a very warm welcome and shown to my room. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I was allowed a very late check-out which I really appreciated, having a flight at 19:40. I have already booked to stay here again and will do so repeatedly as I go to Crete often, - could not recommend this place more highly

Hotel was in a perfect position. Stayed at the back on the ground floor. Would have preferred a room on the floor above as we had a child under the age of 2years so it made it a bit harder for us with the balcony. But apart from that it was. Great stay

Great apartment with lots of extras

The Niriides is a fab little apartment block located very centrally in Almyrida and just a short walk from the beach. There's a great bakery just across the road who apart from lovely bread, sell a huge array of cakes and the best frappe in town! The apartment differs from many in that there are complimentary bottles of wine, olive oil and raki in the room and a small selection of jams, tea and coffee. There is a bottle of washing up liquid provided which is great as you never use a whole bottle whilst on holiday. The bathroom has some amenities and the daily cleaner always makes sure there's a spare toilet roll. The bed, for Greece is super comfy: memory foam I think. That for us is a HUGE bonus - getting home without sore joints! We had an upstairs room at the back which was lovely and quiet. I would think the front facing rooms would be noisy as it's on a busy crossroads. The swimming pool is clean and refreshing with a bar alongside which wasn't actually open when we stayed at the end of May. The only downside and the reason I have given 4* instead of 5 is the bathroom. Unlike most Greek bathrooms which are wetrooms, this one has a tiny little cubicle in the corner. I'm far from large but found it really restrictive. The wifi was also really slow. Whilst it's not great anywhere in the resort, Niriides was almost unusable.

Excellent Apartment

Excellent apartments. Spotlessly clean. All the comforts we need - free air con WiFi lovely big comfy bed fabulous pool. Small and friendly. Our second year - we never go back places - but we'll be going back here next year! Wonderful low key beach resort with a dozen or so restaurants/tavernas with a safe sandy beach and azure sea.

Absolutely fantastic would have no hesitation in recommending will definately be returning ourselves. Well positioned in the Village, Bakery directly opposite! Beach and Tavernas all within 5 minutes walk.The Owners and all the Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of interesting Guests too from all over the world!

Enkelt hotell som har det man behöver

Har det man behöver, A/C, bra städning alla dagar, trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Det är ett mindre hotell med endast tolv rum, så vissa dagar var vi ensamma vid poolen och andra dagar blev det trängre - finns endast 12 solsängar under parasoll - gäster med ovana att reservera solsängar hela dagen ställer då till trängsel (hände endast ett par dagar). Matservering på hotellet är en enkel poolbar där man kan få köpa lite enklare rätter till bra priser, finns ett flertal restauranger och minimarkets i närheten. Såg inte till någon surfplatta som nämndes i rumsbeskrivningen här.

Perfect for what we needed and clean!

The beds were very comfortable, one of the best on Crete. The kitchen has everything you need. Hotel staff was nice. The pool and grounds looked amazing. To Note: We stayed one night in the off season and I'm pretty sure we were the only guests in the hotel, so I can't comment on how it would be at capacity, but it was perfect for what we needed and would definitly stay again.

Perfect!

Nitrides apartments are perfectly situated close to the beach and tavernas. The rooms are large, well equipped and cleaned every day. Mosquito plugs, guest size soap,shower gel and shampoo are provided for your arrival. We also received a welcome pack of wine, olive oil, raki, tea, coffee and jam. The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful. There are two small supermarkets, a bakery and a well stocked pharmacy within close proximity to the hotel. We had a wonderful time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Bodde bara här en natt i väntan på att huset vi skulle hyra blev ledigt. Allt var ok, trevligt bemötande trots att vi kom klockan halv fyra på natten. Två extra sängar som väl var ok... vi var fyra personer i lägenheten.
