Every thing was perfect. In my room I had a problem with hot water but I did not have any problem with it. Of course I mentioned it at the reception whilst checking out.

During your stay you never mentioned any issue, and it was your second stay with us.In case something would have been thàt wrong that deserves to give us the lowest quotation, ith might have been a better option to tell us on the spot so we could have solved it. We are always open to improve our level of service thanks to imput from our guests.Now this looks more like some kind of vengeance..

Charming hotel from a simpler time
It you are looking for a place with charm set in a relaxed environment (removed from the hustle and bustle of the city) look no further. The staff was helpful and professional, they offer a small European style buffet breakfast with a beautiful view of the back patio and park, and in the evenings, they have a refrigerator with various drinks for the guest's which is set-up on an honor system. The bed was comfortable, and the room is larger than many of the chain hotels in the city center (see photos). The only issue is the lack of air conditioning, upon entering my room the standing fan read 32c so I had to open the window (outside temperature was 29c) and place fan in the window (see photos). In the evening the room had cooled to 25c and leaving the windows open overnight, with the fan blowing, cooled to 23c. Rooms are locked with physical keys (instead of keycards), the keychains have a heavy weight with the room number (likely used to unlock the front door after hours in the past, now they use a keypad and code), the grounds are a nice back drop for video calls, and the neighborhood has great restaurants and paths for exercise or just exploring.

Fabulous place in a super area. Location ideal - there is a bus stop just outside the hotel and frequent buses in/out of Antwerp centre (travel time 35 mins). This is an ideal place to stay, with highly welcoming staff, and a most pleasurable way to visit Antwer.

A quiet retreat in nature
We had a great stay. The check in was smooth and quick. Parking was right in front of the hotel. Appreciated that breakfast was included. There is also, conveniently, a supermarket located just a few mins walk away. The biggest plus, though, was the amazing park located right behind the hotel. We came right as the fall colors were changing, and it was very pretty. We had a very relaxing walk with our pup around the park and small moat/creek— a true retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This hotel in an old castle is very nice! The grounds are beautiful, the room was huge, and the breakfast was superb. The breakfast room overlooks the gardens, which were beautiful with the golden colored leaves on them and on the ground. Also, I easily walkable from the town and to our restaurant.

Nice rooms, and wonderful grounds. It was extremely hot and no AC. Even though it cooled down nicely at night with the windows open there were a lot of mosquitoes. We still enjoyed our stay and the staff were very nice.

Nice hotel, bed was quite hard though and only provided a twin room with 2 single beds (normally if the hotel has availability they tend to ask if they can upgrade you to a double room). Breakfast was continental (no "full English") but very well presented with a wide range of options & nice coffee. Only slight disappointment was that the granola had lost it's crunch, probably from not being in an airtight container for a few days. Decent service from the staff who were helpful. Went to a bistro nearby for dinner. Evening drinks at the hotel bar were exorbitant (1 beer for €4.50 + an after hours fee of €3) so felt a bit ripped off on that front!!

A pleasant ambience with a lovely, large garden.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend in normal weather but it was a bit toasty in this heatwave, especially in the front rooms which face both the sun and the road. The rooms would really benefit from air conditioning , which I failed to check for when booking.

Beautiful setting, peaceful, and near Antwerp.
We enjoyed an excellent three day stay at Kasteel Solhof. The setting is peaceful, charming, and allows for relaxing morning strolls around the park behind the hotel and through beautiful neighborhoods with immaculately kept gardens surrounding the site. Breakfast is just right. For lunch we found a delicious typical Belgian restaurant within a 10 minute walk from the hotel; several other options were available. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room spacious and comfortable, and we will definitely return!

We looked through the pics and saw pics of a bar, but later realized there isn't one... also no air conditioning.. it was warm despite a small fan. The breakfast was great! The check in desk attendant was not friendly and locked us out as we grabbed our luggage and told me to use my code...

Chose this hotel for its location to a sports event we were attending. The hotel is impressive when you first arrive. Car parking was limited - possibly owing to a wedding function being hosted at the next door Mille Feuille restaurant. We were advised on check in that the hotel has no dining facilities (other than breakfast). The next door restaurant was occupied by the wedding. No advice was offered on nearby restaurants. As it turns out there are a few to choose from and we ended up eating at de Pistache very nearby which was excellent. Room was hot - aircon not working. Wifi only seemed to allow one device to connect. Breakfast was fine but why not use the terrace on a lovely summer's morning. Generally an OK stay but I think the hotel seems to be under achieving and could be so much more.

Stayed in June in a room on the top floor, hallway has a musty smell, and room was really hot no AC, woke up in the middle of the night as it was too warm and uncomfortable had to take a bath to cool down so I could sleep again... Hotel just needs minor updating to make it really high end and nice. Rooms were very clean and spacious however just need a bit extra TLC Gorgeous back yard view though and so nice to hear the birds in the morning.

Nice place to stay for a romantic weekend. However strange the hotel closes on Sunday afternoon meaning you can get in if you are staying for the weekend till Monday morning but no staff available in the afternoon. It is impossible to book the night from Sunday to Monday and arrive for check in in the afternoon or evening on Sunday.

An upmarket hotel in amazing grounds.
We stayed for 1 night in July 2015. The hotel has the wow factor as you drive up to it. Sweeping drive and is in an amazing setting. The interior is clean and spacious with the rooms being luxurious and clean. The breakfast room overlooks the beautiful grounds with self service breakfast that is up to the standard that would be expected. The staff were helpful and friendly. We are already thinking of rebooking.

Fantastic hotel let down by limited breakfast
Very nice "country manor" style of hotel on the outskirts of Antwerp. It is not close to any railway lines so you need to get that by car (nearest railway station is Berchem). Rooms are very large and bed is comfortable, and internet (cable or WiFi) is very fast. It is a quiet area away from main roads. The only real weakness of the hotel is the restaurant. It doesn't serve a great variety of food and the cold breakfast buffet is really limited for choice. Given that the hotel is in the suburbs and there isn't a huge choice of eateries within walking distance of the hotel, you should bear that in mind before booking.

Solhof, the best within a 15 mile radius!
We had a birthday party in the hood and looked for something easy close by but easy access to Antwerp, this location is 15 minutes away from the centre outside peak traffic, max 25 minutes to Brussels outside traffic. The hotel is sparkling clean, easy park, in a real cute castle with its own park/forrest yet less tehn 0.5 mile form the village. We did not use the facilities but if the rooms and surroundings are anything to go by, don't hesitate! Pricing great and beats any other, any, hotel in the Antwerp region hands down. This is our new home in Antwerp. Thank you for the great stay.
