Fraud - To be avoided

The host asked me to pay upon my arrival as she supposedly had not received the money from hotels.com, even though I had prepaid through the plaftorm. Despite proof of payment provided to hotels.com and countless interactions with customer service, the hotel did not admit getting the payment twice and hotels.com completely let me down, saying it's the hotel's conditions and that they can't do anything about it. So be warned, not only this place is not honest, it is also very average, quite loud, dirty, with not a great breakfast. And on top of that, hotels.com can't be trusted...don't seem to care about it and let fraudulent host on the platform.
