While prepaid, we were never informed this property is permanently closed. We had a very hard time finding it, hours, and when we achieved getting there, the gates were padlocked. We honked and a caretaker came to the gate seeming surprised we were there. “Ferme! Ferme! Finis!” he cried. Showing him the reservation with picture of the chateau, he acknowledged we were at the right place. He made a phone all but still said “Ferme!” We had to find other lodgings and pay again.

Great place to stay

A beautiful and well preserved Chateau with the added bonus of having a swimming pool. The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend a stay here for someone who wants to say somewhere different from the average run of the mill hotel.

Unterwegs gebucht, eine Stunde später, um 1920 eingetroffen, 50 Minuten Wartezeit bis sich jemand um mein Check In bemühte, keine Entschuldigung nur Rüffel, ich müsse mein Auto sofort um-parkieren.

This was such a gem of a find! The staff greeted me by name which was such a treat! The grounds and chateau are charming. The pool is an added bonus! I wish I could have stayed longer! It is such a fun thing to get to stay in such a grand place. Do not hesitate!!!

Excellente adresse qui allie charme, calme et propreté. Je recommande totalement surtout la chambre 9. Pour les passionnés de photos prévoyez votre appareil pour le lever du soleil ça vaut vraiment le coup. Petit hic pour ceux qui auront des rdv tôt le matin, le petit déjeuner n'est servi qu'à partir de 7h30

Great hotel, hopeless reception

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and would be very highly recommended were it not for its reception arrangements. Reception is only staffed intermittently and we waited almost 20 minutes on arrival to be seen with no indication of our room number or indeed of anything. Same experience when we left for an evening meal in nearby Angers - not a soul in sight and after 30 minutes fruitless and frustrating waiting around with no-one in attendance we simply left. Upon our return the owner was just arriving and our concerns were met with little more than a Gallic shrug and a "c'est la France". This is disappointing so our advice if you have booked is to clarify well in advance your time of arrival

Lieu apaisant où il fait bon vivre. L’atmosphère est propice au voyage par son cadre, par sa décoration à telle point que c’est très rare que les clients échangent au petit déjeuner. Génial
