「First time i have stopped at this hotel but it will not be the last really pleasant owners and staff lovely big room and on suit bathroom and great breakfast at a nice price. Plus it has it own pub.」

「Was a little further from Selkirk than expected/noticed at booking but was worth the extra miles. Bus didn’t stop so had to book a taxi from Selkirk. The hotel was helpful and offered to come pick us up if needed! Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.」

「We had a beautiful quiet room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was good - items such as eggs and tomatoes were fresh cooked and hot; meat products were sometimes lukewarm. Service was good. Just a bit disappointed that there was no availability of meals/dinner in the evening- a light lunch was available until 6pm. Would help residents to know this beforehand but that might put off people booking. Monday night was difficult with most eateries closed and we could only find a run of the mill...

「Lovely stay. Our room had previously been the old public bar, so was huge! Decor was a little tired and could do with a refresh (especially the bathroom - such a wasted opportunity not to put a bigger bath in there)! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious - such a treat to have kippers, being on a ban at home for them! Would recommend and definitely stay again!」

「There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way.」

「My second stay at The Glen, friendly staff/owners. Different room this time round but really spacious, clean and with all you would need for a break away. Breakfast is still really good with a wide selection and freshly cooked. Ideal hotel for my needs being situated close to family and excellent for days out within the Borders and close to Tweedbank for the train to Edinburgh with free parking. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.」

「I went down for breakfast at 7.30....a bit later than I usually would, but everything was closed. I tried calling the number on the front desk but didn't get an answer. The room is decent but the bed was very hard.」

「After a long journey we were so pleased to stay at this B&B, we received a warm welcome, the building is beautiful with lovely views and our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only but very well thought out and the communal areas are a special bonus. Would stay here again without a doubt. Thank you.」
