"This is our third visit to The Crazy Bear, but has now, I have been informed by the staff changed ownership and sadly it is not the place it used to be. The only area now to sit, chat and drink in is in the bar....gone are the cosy Moroccan styled areas inside the building. The pool area has also been changed. The day beds have gone, and now has no character. We have stayed in the decadent rooms, the slightly smaller rooms as well, but this time opted for the snug room. Oh my goodness, far too small, i would definitely not recommend. The staff are all friendly, but the ambience/atmosphere has left the building with the previous owners. Now it seems all about maximum dining area. The quirkiness of The Crazy Bear has gone, and sadly we would not return again. "

"Great stay. The staff were amazing and sorted out a small cake and card for my daughter on her birthday. We got a free upgrade as members and dinner was good. Great WiFi and pool area. Highly recommend it."

"Staff most helpful, lovely clean big room. Excellent meal in the restaurant on the Wednesday night and breakfast on the Thursday morning was spot on."

"We returned to this property, having enjoyed a stay there previously. The staff were attentive to any request we had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we hope to stay there again. On the negative side we found the mattress very uncomfortable as it was lumpy and gave us back ache. We also could not operate the induction hob in the kitchen."

"The room was cool and the bed comfortable. Nice towels It’s more basic than a Travel Lodge, loud plumbing, slightly loose light fittings, no reading light switch separate to the over head light. Paper thin walls. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and ambience warm. "

"The room was cold when we arrived and the radiators were ineffective. Fortunately it was warmer when we returned from dinner. The bureaucracy associated with online check in was excessive ie submitting passport details and photo, and precise checkin time. info from three different organisations, and lists of instructions and rules for check in and out. I like to book and turn up on the day."
