"The hotel was being renovated. Our room was in the process of updating and was not ready to be let out. It had clean bed linen, but needed a thorough clean not just top dusting. It was understaffed with the few staff trying to do everything and failing. I could list all the faults which are the same as previous reviews. The main problem was that all the electric appliances were run from a multiplug, including the kettle, the TV and an old convector heater brought into the room as the radiators didn't work. Unfortunately this was a last minute booking and we were unable to go elsewhere, so had to stay. To be fair the staff were pleasant and helpful when we asked for anything and did sort out an overcharging issue discovered when we arrived home but they were totally overwhelmed with trying to renovate and run a hotel at the same time."
