"The Appenzell Inn was a nice surprise for us on our vacation. It has lots of ammenities, close access to everything in Estes Park, lovely surroundings (including flower boxes everywhere), a decent breakfast, and the special touch of offering the makings for s'mores at their multiple outdoor fire pits on the property. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and the staff was available and attentive when needed. The look of a Swiss Chalet was charming. The only criticism we had is that the parking is tricky; if you are out past a certain time, it's very difficult to find a parking spot anywhere near your room. But this was a minor inconvenience for us. We really enjoyed our stay at the Appenzell Inn, and would stay there again."

"Great location! Just mins from downtown Estes Park & the entrance to the RMNP. Love the river that runs through the property, all the amenties, and the convenience of Wapiti being outside your door for some food or a drink. I was worried about the "no contact check-in & check-out", but it went very smoothly. The staff was very attentive to texts whenever we needed anything. We had a great time. Definitely recommend it."

"Besides being clean, it had a great view of the mountains. They offered a decent breakfast in the morning, popcorn in the afternoon and smores in the evening. It was close to both RMNP entrances and downtown Estes Park!"

"Our stay at Discovery Lodge was wonderful! The unit we were in was clean, spacious, and updated. The location was perfect and we saw lots of elk. My children enjoyed the playground and pond. We will definitely stay at Discovery Lodge again when we return to Estes Park."

"Cabins are old but quaint. They have character! Very clean, the staff friendly and thoughtful, our room wasn't ready until after 5, it was raining so we had to wait in the car, they gave a complimentary bottle of wine and mini golf tickets. If you want a fun small cabin near a river without fancy dancy features this is for you. It's close to town and RMNP."
