Good and tidy room, walkable distance to the beach and restaurants, pool and gym facilities. A special thank you for her kindness to the receptionist lady with long braids, I don’t remember her name but she was very nice and welcoming with us.

We have stayed at the Maya several times now. This last stay was in an older room that was showing its age. The bathtub shower was difficult to get in and out of, and the hot water turned cold then hot again during showers. As well, the toilet filled and refilled noisily all night long during our stay. Our advice would be to insist on a remodeled room. The older ones are passable, but not pleasant. All this said, the hotel is in a very convenient location (to la playa and the tram) and the staff is very accommodating. We will stay here again--but will press for a remodeled room.

I had a three-day stay at the Maya Hotel and I am completely amazed. Amazed by the staff that went out of their way to make feel welcome. Wonderful in every way.

Not too far from the beach; large, clean rooms-and ours was newly refurbished too-great breakfast and friendly staff. Reception check-in was slow, but the reception staff were helpful. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Bus transfer from airport literally stopped outside the hotel. 7th floor room recently refurbished which was lovely. Breakfast plentiful and so much to choose from. Everything was in walking distance. Fantastic customer service provided by ‘Noelia’ front desk throughout. Really welcoming and accommodating. We would return.

Really good hotel,very well situated . 30 mins from airport using C6 bus which stops 3 mins up the road from the hotel Brilliant staff who always are helpful and smiling . Nice outdoor pool . 6 mins walk to a main shopping centre 6 mins walk to beach and I to old town Easy access to Santa Barbara castle. Between 2 tram stops

Comfy hotel, staff werr friendly and room had everything we needed. 24hr check in was a real bonus as our flight was cancelled so had to book last minute. Didn't use the facilities of the hotel but they looked good

Great hotel just outside of city centre

Great welcome upon check-in. We were early to the hotel but we were pleased to know that our room was ready. Lovely bright, airy, clean and comfortable room. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the hotel, and it's great. The breakfast is brilliant. Plenty of choice and it's nice and relaxed.

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was on the 10th floor, with a partial view of the sea and a great view of the castle. Our room was large, comfortable, and updated. The staff at check in and check out were professional, welcoming, and engaging. The breakfast buffet was fine. We would stay here again, and we'll recommend the hotel to friends visiting Alicante.

This is a nice property, if with somewhat dated rooms Staff were friendly and efficient with requests. Dining room was great; breakfast service is worth the €13 a day. Bar areas were clean, easily accessible, staff made me feel welcome. Pool was just cool enough to be refreshing on moderate afternoons. Sun deck was semi-private, can’t be seen from the street. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. WiFi is good, some slower times but still very reliable. Overall a great value for the price. Also they have a kid friendly area.

Rooms are very dated, nothing like the images on their site, definitely nothing premium about it. Pool is very small with sun tan lotion floating on top. Entering the hotel the clerk was in a verbal argument with a customer regarding pool towels, lobby and public spaces smelled. Breakfast was the only a bit nice but seating was like in a school cafeteria.

Great location!

Strong shower, lots of hot water, nice pool with lots of loungers on deck, excellent service in Spanish & English. Good breakfast buffet, had some things for celiac which was nice, great coffee machine. I would suggest a fresh juice option (even at extra cost), & there was only 1 meal at pool bar/restaurant that was gluten-free. Can use pool before & after check in, & is shower by pool. Wifi worked 90% of the time. Gym is small but not bad. Spain was having a heat wave so AC was rarely enough everywhere in south of country. Room big & clean, lots of big towels, decent bed & frig, gel & lotion only. Balcony was large but enclosed on all but 1 side with window. I prefer a balcony that extends, but probably too hot anyway. Walls are thin so I had to knock on neighbour’s door at 11:30pm & 2am to ask to lower their voices. Location is fabulous, 20 min walk to beach, town, mall & movie theatre, right at foot of Castillo so no real view. On bus/tram line. My only complaint is the AC vent sucks air from somewhere where people smoke. I eventually turned it off as I’d rather deal with humidity & street noise than smoke. It was so bad in the bathroom I had to close the door & hold my breath sometimes when I went in. If they made this whole hotel smoke-free (including the outdoor areas), I would recommend it without reservation. They couldn’t tell me where the vent sourced & there were no other balcony rooms free. Really nice staff.
View from room: I had to sit on the table to put my feet up as windows are waist high.
