We had a lovely stay at Rixos (Nariman). Room(Park view) are spacious and excellent, room service are really good, thanks to Ahmed Said. Breakfast buffet is outstanding we had hours at King Fouad and staff there are amazing, thanks to Mohammed Hassan. Would come back again!
This property has just opened. It's very nice and i reserved a Suite by the sea which was magnificent. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This property is in the best location in Alexandria and i highly recommend it.
Our stay at Rixos Montaza Alexandria was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The facilities were immaculate—clean, modern, and beautifully maintained.
One of the highlights was the proximity to the beach—we were just 30 feet from the water, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the stunning coastline at any time of day. Whether lounging by the shore or walking through the pristine property, everything felt peaceful and luxurious.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality experience by the sea.
Amazing place by all means, staff were very cooperative and friendly, but as it is still a “soft opening”, didn’t have many options for restaurants. I’ve seen better breakfast buffet and service. I also recommend adding music at the pools and near the beach. For limousine service to Nuweiba (as our flight was cancelled), they asked for $500, while outside hotel service costs $150 at max, in a private SUV. One last thing, I was sad to see the public part of Almuntaza so dirty, although the hotel has nothing to do with it.
Indeed, one of the most luxurious places we have ever visited, praise to Allah Al Malik who has created the amazing nature and the land where your hotel is located. The staff is hospitable and helpful, and the facilities are great.
Nevertheless, to stay on top means you need to maintain the good work and improve the weak points. Here are some according to our experience:
1. Please do more efforts to create sandy beach without litters lying around and the rocks on the beach. Create more tracks or paths for those who have washed themselves from the sand. (Sandy beach equals money, so the more efforts you do will definitely be paid off)
2. Improve your house keeping. We asked for extra bed/baby crib for our baby; which is included in our room rate, since the first night until the third night, the extra bed never came. Also, when we asked for plates and utensils to eat since we ordered deliveries, the plates and utensils never came.
Anyhow, jazakumullah khayeran for all the service. Surely, we'd like to come back in the future, Rixos has become a name we look forward to in our vacation.

I’d like to first say that this is a nice hotel and the beach is crazy beautiful. Literally the best beach I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to 40+ countries. The majority of the staff work really hard and want to make guests happy. That said, the hotel is extremely overpriced. The hotel is nice but relatively average in terms of decor - nothing very luxurious. Also, the food is above average but not excellent or out of this world, which one would not expect after paying $600/night. The food halls are very crowded to the point that it is overwhelming and uncomfortable. The employee who books the restaurant reservations made me uncomfortable because he was pushing for a positive review and flirting with female guests. What is included in terms of dining in the main hall versus pier restaurants is unclear. Lastly, when we checked out, they made us wait approximately 40 minutes in the reception - refusing to let us leave the hotel - as they reviewed the rooms for any missing items. After spending $2000+ for two rooms for two nights, they confronted us for a missing tea spoon. It seemed like they were accusing us of theft but we never took the spoon. Why would I take a used steel tea spoon worth less than $5 when I paid over $2000? We could have gone to Greece, Cyprus, or Spain for less than this hotel. This isn’t reasonable and I have never experienced this in any hotel in the world and I’ve been to top hotels in Europe, Asia, and South America. I won’t visit again personally.
Review of My Third Stay at Rixos Montaza – A Mix of Positives and Areas for Improvement
This was my third stay at Rixos Montaza, and as always, I appreciate the noticeable improvements, especially in entertainment, which gets better with each visit. Also some things never change—like the warm, smiling welcome from Mr. Abdelrahman, who sets a fantastic first impression.
Highlights:
- Anjana Spa: Still a top-tier experience, offering perfect relaxation.
- La Turquoise Restaurant:
Consistently excellent service and food quality.
- L’Olivio Restaurant (à la carte):A wonderful dining experience with great food.
Areas for Improvement:
1. Golf Cart Transportation: Still insufficient, with long waits. Some drivers even refuse guests, asking them to wait for the next cart—this needs better management.
2. Confusing Policies at Nyra Beach: A frustrating incident occurred when the manager, Mohamed, tried to charge me for dinner despite my half-board eligibility. I showed him the hotel’s written policy, and even reception staff confirmed my entitlement, but he insisted on enforcing an imaginary rule. Clarity and consistency in policies are essential to avoid guest dissatisfaction.
Despite these issues, I still believe Rixos Montaza has the potential to be one of the best hotels. I share this feedback hoping for further improvements, as I genuinely enjoy my stays here.
Such a beautiful property. Stayed here for a few days and it was such a peaceful experience. Rooms are updated modern and clean. Very comfy beds and no noise at all. Service was great Mark was really helpful with our luggage and dropping us off to get coffee. The breakfast buffet was good, nothing extra but decent. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Location is good but a bit far from certain tourist areas.
Overall a great stay and highly recommend.
