A lone female traveller i was expecting something very different as reviews were very good. All i wanted as a quiet restful evening and sleep. The check in is at the bar, which was already busy at 4.30. The rooms are above the bar and some further away. I was told by the really helpful lads at the bar that there was a band playing that evening finishing at 12. My room overlooked the very busy car park which would have been very noisy at kick out. I didnt stay. The room smelt strange, the walls were tatty, I didnt investigate further. I got one of lads from the bar to come and smell it. He agreed. He very quickly arranged a refund with the manager. Not full as i have to claim the rest from expedia. If you want a busy pub venue you probably would love it. It left me with no option but to drive back to Dorset. From the lakes this was a 7.5 hour drive. Not what i needed exhausting. The lads i met were brilliant and the manager prompt with a refund.

We had a lovely two-night stay at The Alcester Inn which allowed us to visit several nearby local attractions (Coughton House and Park, and Charlecote). The inn is just a short walk from the delightful town of Alcester, and was very clean, and quiet. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive and we enjoyed breakfasts and evening meals there which were delicious and very good value.

Room were clean and tidy, staff were very welcoming & attentive. There was plenty of car parking. There were tea & coffee facilities in the room. We were able to order breakfast easily and it was freshly cooked and very nice. Overall a lovely over night stay

When we arrived there was no electricity due to fault. The staff were very helpful. We were all sat in the bar, for an hour then told that the electricity would be on some hours later. We went out for dinner and when we returned the water and electricity were all working. We were all compensated for the inconvenience.

Two night stay in this reasonably priced budget end hotel. Overall the room and the corridor to it looked a little tired. Beds (two single ones) were lumpy and a bit uncomfortable. Bathroom shower was good. Food in the pub was decent. So there were pluses and minuses.
