Late check in info was incorrect, basic things like room number and parking, staff spoke little English and were unresponsive and unhelpful. If they fix these aspects it would be ok and good value

Dear Guest We know that there was mistake from our side when we organised late check-ins. You should have called us rather than checking yourself in unallocated room and we end up having check in issue with another guest so please do not blame us about your mistake. Our staff did fix issue middle of night and he did not ask you to change room. Please do not blame that staff did not know English otherwise could not be able to solve problem midnight.It was better if we have asked you to change room with cleaning allocated room during midnight. Good hotel
Very clean, basic with new bathroom. Blinds let in a lot of light so early wake up. Bit noisy as bathroom window permanently open.

Disappointing stay!
After reading the reviews I thought we might have a shot at a quiet room for two nights as the motel was opposite a park, next to the Murray R. This was not the case! The first night found that there were a lot of contract workers booked in. Outside the room beside us were two pairs of boots on their doorstep, with a pair of discarded socks! Great. Later, we found that the road outside the motel is haunted by local hoons in souped-up cars, who rev up their motors and scream past the motel at various times in the evenings. At 2am on the first night at a couple decided to have a loud, sweary fight right outside our room which ended up out in the carpark, with a woman discharging a fire extinguisher on the bloke she was swearing at. Someone on the other side reported it in and the cops turned up ten minutes later, but by then they had gone. The second night there was a busload of people staying, who decided to have a noisy get-together outside for hours. This was complemented by a large group of equally loud youngsters who were having a sort of 'party' at the other end of the motel. There was a lot of running about and screaming. As a result not much sleep was had by us either night! To cap it off, there was no water in the swimming pool, and our 'complimentary' bottle of wine did not appear! This is probably the worst place we have stayed at when booking with Hotels.com. The bed was OK, room a bit tired looking but a decent size. It was convenient. But that's it! Never again!

Whilst polite and welcoming, honesty would be appreciated. The property is next door to an industrial estate, it might not suit travellers wanting a quiet rest, with heavy machinery, staff calling out and trucks running engines by the window. Inside clean, older style, met reasonable expectations, cutlery/plates drawer heavy, difficult to open or shut. The website lists a pool, empty (accessible hazard). An email from hotel told us of the lovely bbq area, not so, with dusty table and bbq out of order. Staff simply explain it away, but same high prices.

I liked the friendly atmosphere and access to the restaurant Unfortunately there were no tissues provided and there was no conditioner in the shower. I would stay there again, though.

Good rest stop on the way back to Melbourne. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and well appointed. Parking firne. Lots of food and fuel options nearby

I was able to easily organise access to our room even though we arrive well after the reception had closed. The room was clean, tidy and all you need for a nights sleep

Very tired and desperately in need of a lick of paint. Cobwebs on ceiling and hair shavings left on floor of bathroom from previous guests. Glad we were only staying the one night.

No concern/ issue was raised upon check ins or during your stay otherwise front staff could have help you out with your issue. Plates/spoons/mugs can be found inside cabinetry underneath of bench. Room was nice and clean. Parking close to room. A bit noisy from main road and trucks. Not much you can do about that though. Kettle, Microwave, fridge, tea and coffee, private bathroom all the essentials.

Good for a quick stay
Stayed here twice en route between Sydney and Melbourne. Both timesI came in late and I was able to get access and parking with a trailer no problems. Clean and simple. Breakfast not amazing but included in good value price. Importantly, not a big detour off main highway. Would stay again.
