Where to start: We were in town on business regarding a family member's medical issues. At first glance in the room, it appeared clean, beds had fresh linen, and fresh toweling was provided. However, after walking across the floor my white socks were literally black. With an original 3 night stay, our room was never attended (beds made, trash emptied, fresh towels) even once. The staff did hand us towels when we asked for them, but the washrags were filthy. The breakfast area could be cleaner, but it sufficed.
Sleeping was difficult with all of the road noise all night long. It sounded like drag racing.
Exhausted, we decided to move to a different hotel. We turned in our keys at 7AM. Nobody was attending the front desk so we continued to the breakfast area, have coffee, and plan our day. Going back to the desk I waited for at least 10 minutes while I knocked on the glass. A man finally came out barefooted, tossled hair, and half dressed. I told him we were checking out and I wanted a copy of my invoice. I had to argue with him over getting an invoice. Apparently too taxing for him to turn around a make a copy on the printer behind him. Once he gave me the invoice I told him no, he needed to take off the day we weren't staying. He refused. I will be taking this up with my CC company and Expedia.
Bottom line, the motel looks charming, but DON'T DO IT!
