Nice but expensive

Super site and large safe complex - amazing beach and high quality restaurants onsite - it is a very quiet place despite the size and makes a perfect holiday base on the downside the drinks, food and facilities are vastly over priced. We have been.few times but this year it was noticeable how few guests where actually buying anything poolside for example.

Very friendly staff, we were made to feel instantly at home. Where we had issues with our room these were attended to straightaway. Grounds are beautiful and the walk around the resort was a pleasure. The beach is fantastic and picturesque.

Pine Cliffs is a beautiful property with excellent dining — every restaurant we visited delivered on food, service, and ambiance. Truly a highlight of the stay. That said, our overall experience was mixed. Check-in felt hectic and wasn’t especially accommodating for traveling with a small child, which set a challenging tone at the start. We stayed in the residences, and personally, I wouldn’t choose that option again. They felt far from the main amenities, inconvenient to access, and not as premium as expected. The indoor pool was a big plus and clearly popular, especially during an off-season stay. It made a difference for families needing an easy activity. This may have been influenced by traveling off-season, but when we return to this area, I’d likely choose a different property. A lovely resort in many ways, just not the right fit for us this time.

We stayed in a three bedroom residence. It was spacious, traditionally decorated and well appointed with a full kitchen and washing machine & tumble dryer. The grounds are beautifully looked after with lots of grass for kids to play on. There are plenty of beds and umbrellas around the pools with pool towels stations in multiple areas. The beach restaurant has a fantastic view. All food is excellent but as expected expensive. Drinks are also expensive. There is a little mini market at the Residences but instead of using this i recommend you walk to the supermarket opposite the entrance which is well stocked. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pine Cliffs and will be back again.

Pine Cliffs - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely wonderful stay at Pine Cliffs. I travel a lot with work and stay in many hotels. Hands down, Pine Cliffs is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed in. The most amazing and helpful staff that make the whole family feel welcome. Their focus on the children is incredible, with our son being welcomed by name, high fives and a hug each morning at breakfast. The resort offers something for everyone in the family. Plenty of entertainment for Children, quiet areas for Mum and Dad. Great food, stunning views and a brilliant shuttle service to make getting around with a group so much easier. We will be back for sure!

Hotel stay

We had a two bedroom suite at the Residences. Hotel is beautiful but it is very spread out. To go to beach and main hotel building you need to take a shuttle which you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes. For a 5 star resort service was a bit spotty. We had a mishap at breakfast- was told we can do a la cart instead of buffet but ended up waiting for 1 hour to get eggs which was ridiculous. This hotel is also outside of Albufeira so location is not super convenient - you have to drive to town.

Reines Familienhotel mit entsprechenden Zielgruppen und Familienevents jeden Tag. Die Bars sind keine wirklichen Bars, auch wenn der Name dies vortäuschen soll. So wird in der Champagnerbar kein erleser Champagner genossen sondern vielmehr beim Bier mit Karten gespielt. O Pescador, PiriPri und Yakuza haben eine sehr gute Qualität. Das Hotel ist viel zu groß für die Anzahl an Menschen, die in die Pools wollen. Die Pools sind daher reine Kinderspielplätze. Das Maré Restaurant am Strand ist sehr gut. Aber nur die Balibetten auf dem Maré -253 EUR pro Tag - sind für ein nicht Ballermanngefühl die einziger Option. Unser Zimmer mit Blick auf den Golfplatz war sehr gut. Unser gebuchter und bestätigt Shuttlettansfer zum Flughafen ging schief und kam 25 Minuten zu spät. Der Fahrer war zudem eine Katastrophe. Die Liegen um die Pools unter den Bäumen wirken wie Campingplatzidylle: Fazit: als Familienhotel mit kleinen Kindern ist es ein prima Hotel, wenn man beachtet das Strandkomport Geld kostet. Für Familien mit halberwachsenen Kindern ist das Hotel als Standort gut, um extern abends etwas zu unternehmen aber mit teuren Aufenthalten am Strand - Liegen und Balibett sind kostenintensiv. Als Hotel für Erwachsener sollte man dies alles, wie z. B. viele Netzhemden und Muscleshirttagende Männer oder wenige Zonen wo man einen geringen Hektiklevel hat, mögen.

Cockroaches, baratas, cucarachas! Whatever you call them, they got them at this place. We booked a two week stay at this property in April. After a few day we found roaches in the kitchen. We asked to move but were told that that they would do a thorough cleaning and this would solve the problem. They said the resort is in nature and we might find the same problem if we moved to another unit. After another few days the roaches appeared again. We insisted on moving this time. Even though we were told the new unit was ready for us to move into, when we got there there was a maintenance man repairing a number of problems in the unit. He repaired a number of the electrical fixtures in the unit, but later we discovered that there were more electrical issues. We phoned and asked to have these issues addressed but no one ever came. The location is beautiful, including the beach and the swimming pools. The units themselves are well decorated. The kitchens in the residences are small and the sparely equipped. One thing that was problematic with both units was the fact that the supplied teflon frying pans were heavily scratched. The management should realize that these are unhealthy for guests to use. The seals on the windows in the first unit we rented had failed and the windows were all fogged up. It was also noisy, being close to the road. Overall, not the best experience.

The staff and room were excellent. The restaurant options were limited as most were closed due to 'off season'.
