Dormy Inn Akita Natural Hot Spring
3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (743)
"5 minute walk from Akita station, there are plenty of food options around and shopping malls nearby to do souvenir shopping. Plenty of attractions nearby like the park opposite and the Akita Inu station behind. The onsen on the top floor was also enjoyable, and had free dessert right outside. There's also free noodles at night for supper. Great place to stay for day trips from Akita."

This area is more suburban, but still a handful of small restaurants nearby. 10 to 15 minute walk from Tsuchizaki train station. Not walkable from downtown Akita. You need to take the train or bus to get to Akita, but the train is very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of options even if you are vegetarian. Less options if you are...
