Nice place and host was gracious and super sweet. Breakfast was amazing. Host may want to make check in a little more clear because this is a house and when we arrived it was not clear what to do. Also, linens in were a little musty smelling.

The hostess was excellent. Her baked goods were exquisite. The room was beautiful and well equipped. The only drawback was that there was no air conditioning or ceiling fan so during the heat wave, sleeping was a bit warm. Again, the hostess was wonderful!

Sejour au calme a 15 minutes en voiture du centre ville de Aix en Provence. Tres bon petit-déjeuner fait maison.

Le client est roi, nul doute!

Maison individuelle avec une partie locative, très propre et spacieuse. La locataire est au petits soins des hôtes et très discrète. A remarquer également l'excellent petit déjeuner. L'endroit est très calme.

A very private place just a little bit out in the country. So many birds singing and the view was lovely. The suite is much bigger than it appears in the photos, and the bed was very comfortable. It was too cold to swim when we were there, but there's so much to do in the region that was no problem. Our host, Catherine, was very nice and is a fantastic baker. The breakfasts are unbelievable! Warm bread, fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice, and your choice of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. You get a little private dinning room and every morning breakfast was a lovely surprise.

The B&B property is in a lovely enclosed estate. The suite was clean and the bathroom was luxurious. Staying here really requires independent means of transportation as it is a bit of a drive out from the city of Aix, but the tranquil setting is worth it. There is secure parking inside the gated driveway next to the house. The big bonus to staying at La Bastide de l'aube is that Catherine is a gourmet cook and each morning she provides a tasty French breakfast with a freshly baked entree. We highly recommend this location as a basecamp from which to explore Provence from Avignon to the Mediterranean in a series of day trips, as we did.

A pleasant surprise in the country

What a pleasant surprise. A little drive but so worth it. Wonderful pool swim and cool breeze at night. But the best was the lovely breakfast spread with home made goodies provided by our hostess. Merci merci
