Extremely disappointing
I had a very uncomfortable experience at Hôtel de France. Upon arrival, the room temperature was 28°C and, even after hours with a fan, it only dropped to 25°C. The hotel claims that air conditioning is not available due to environmental policies and building restrictions, but this was never clearly communicated at the time of booking.
The room was hot, and I was forced to leave and find another place to stay. To make things worse, two other guests were complaining about the exact same issue at reception. This is clearly a systemic problem, not an isolated case.
Basic comfort is not a luxury — it is a fundamental part of hospitality. The hotel failed to provide the service I paid for, and their response has been dismissive and insufficient. I strongly advise avoiding this property, especially during warm weather, unless you are prepared to sleep in sauna-like conditions.
