Amazing stay

Silvio, our host and Gaetano, our waiter every day and all the crew were excellent hosts! Friendly, always smiling, our room was super confy and the food was extraordinary! I’d recommend it to couples, families with young kids or solo travellers, too!

If you want to combine the vibrant energy of the Amalfi Coast with absolute tranquility, Italian authenticity, and pampering, this family-run farm is perfect for you. Silvio, his children, siblings, dogs, chickens, and the entire family go out of their way to make your stay special. The evening menu changes daily and is top-notch. Amalfi town is 18 km away, and it takes about 50 minutes to navigate the winding mountain roads.

Wonderful stay!

Amazing stay at this small eco farm!! We had a great view over the mountains and shoreline of the Amalfi coast, with Amalfi city being just below us. The drive to Amalfi from where you can go on several different boat trips to great beach areas and other cities of the Amalfi coast. The host is very helpful and care a lot about his guests have a good experience, and was always available for advice, help and a tour arround his farm to see the vegetables, fruit and animals being produced on the farm.. All the food on the menu and in the breakfast is with fresh products from the farm, and really well prepared. I highly recommend staying here for a few days if you are planning a trip to Italy!!

Beautiful sea views from balcony, really nice family, I had the most amazing gnocchi ever, however food is pricy which was a surprise during a check out because the owner insist to pay later and later. Prices were not listed on the menu. So if you want to avoid surprises ask for the prices. Breakfast is good but very limited options. Free parking is a great comfort. Unfortunately my room wasn’t cleaned once during 5 days stay.

High above Amalfi

The hosting family creates a very personal atmosphere. Our room was recently renovated. The host provides all information needed to get around in the area, e.g. on how to take the bus into Amalfi. Close to the accomodation there is a spot with a spectacular overview of the coastline.

Mare e Monti was the perfect spot for us. A small farm on the edge of a small village. Peace and quiet, no urban noise (with some amusing peacocks thrown in). A 15 minute walk to the village to pick up groceries for snacks, a pharmacy, ATM, and gelato made it all very convenient. Being 2,000 feet above the coast meant it was cooler and had stunning views.

We've stayed for 2 weeks overhere. Book it if you are traveling by car only (they have a lot of parking space). Their breakfast was very poor. Couple of slices of prosciutto and cheese. Some cakes. Some fruits with flies. (Although they asking every time "breakfast ok?") Cofee was too bad. 2 dinners that we had were absolutely bad. I didn't it my last dinner at all. But paid 40 euros for that. Overpriced. 3 sausage dogs were trying to steal my steak from the table. Some nights the dogs were barking. Nothing to eat. Lack of variety. No English. Room was OK. But mattress was too soft. And we slept like in the ditch. Location is good if you like to hike a lot. Pretty far from town (15 minutes by walk). And you have to climb about 70 vertical meters up. Yes it has very beautiful views from the balcony. But you gonna suffer without good food overhere. It's kinda expensive. We've paid $100 for the night. People are nice but they can't make a business.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt von über zwei Wochen. Die gesamte Gegend ist traumhaft schön, das Essen bei Silvio und Anna großartig und die Atmosphäre auf der Farm sehr freundlich und familiär. Man bekommt zudem ausreichend Informationen und Unterstützung zur Planung aller möglicher Aktionen rund um diesen wirklich einzigartigen Ort. Also genau die richtige Basis, um die gesamte Amalfiküste zu erkunden. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Der Aufenthalt im Mare e Monti war sehr gelungen. Die neuen Zimmer mit Meerblick sind geräumig die Bäder ebenfalls und sehr sauber. Der Gastgeber und sein Team sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Küche ist eher einfach jedoch sind die Fleischgerichte ein echter Genuss. Ich kann Mare e Monti nur Weiterempfehlung..

O ponto alto da estadia definitivamente foi a hospitalidade de Silvio e sua família, ele nos explicou como chegar às praias e a melhor forma de fazer todos os passeios. O restaurante que servia o jantar também foi uma grata surpresa, era tão bom e conveniente que acabamos comendo lá todas as noites. O quarto era confortável e bem espaçoso. Foi uma boa opção para quem quer visitar a costa sem estar na agitação dos outros centros, o único ponto negativo era que tínhamos que tomar um ônibus para chegar nos principais destinos.

Fantastisk hyggelig familiehotel. Ejeren og hans personale yder top service hele tiden. Super kvalitet på alle hans råvarer, som også er økologiske og friske.morgenmaden er god og om aften har man mulighed for tilkøb af aftensmaden. Den er billig i forhold til kvaliteten og første aften får man som gæst en flaske vin på husets regning. Hotelværelse blev også gratis opgraderet fra standard til comfort. Super udsigt fra hotelværelsets terrasse ud over amalfikysten.

Mysigt lanthotell

Silvio och hans medarbetare driver detta mysiga lilla lantliga hotell som ligger 700 m över havet med en härlig havsutsikt. Deras gästfrihet gör att man känner sig nästan som en i familjen och servicen är utmärkt. Frukosten består av allt från egenodlat, omeletter och nybakade pajer. Det är dyrt på Amalfikusten och mycket turister så uppe i Agerola trivdes vi bäst och vi valde också att äta kvällsmaten på verandan med utsikt. Hotellets mat gillade vi och det märktes också att andra uppskattade det då närboende med sina familjer kom dit för att äta. Kyparen Gailtone och hans kollega gör också allt för att man ska trivas. Vi åkte runt med bil och man måste vara försiktig i trafiken då alla kör som de vill. Alternativet är att ta buss som är billigt och man slipper dyra parkeringsavgifter. Nere vid havet rekommenderar vi att ta båtturer då man kan se hur vacker kusten är. Om man är ute efter en badsemester så välj något annat hotell mellan Amalfi och Vietri Sul Mare om man inte vill trängas.

What was not to like about this quaint getaway at the top of a mountain overlooking the sea. Silvio and his staff were fantastic and always looking to help. The food and wine were great. If you like some R & R between big cities, and waking up to the roosters, this is the place for you!

Felt like home

Not the most authentic Agriturismo in Agerola

We stayed here for 2 nights. The a.c in our room didn't work, it seemed to not bother the owner too much. The food was average and way way too overpriced, there are plenty of good restaurants down in the center for half a price. The place and the view is very nice overall
