Rooms very large and spacious, King size bed, large bathroom, outside seating overlooking the extensive grounds and big River Red Gums, well set up swimming pool area. This place was as good as any place I've ever stayed at. Price also was very reasonable. Location in South Australia's McLaren Vale region is exquisite.

Nice room-very quiet- good access to Mclaren Vale township and wineries. Food quality at restaurant very good- restaurant experience would be improved by offering wines in addition to Serafino

Lovely property, and the accommodation abuts the Shiraz Trail hike and bike trail which is convenient to have a walk into town. Good parking, slightly dated property and wall insulation is not to modern standards in case you are a light sleeper. We would stay here again.

Spacious and clean room. Housekeeping didn’t restore coffee and wine from minibar after first night. Bathroom was below standard for a four star property. Bird noise in early morning made it difficult to sleep.

NO AFHER HOURS CHECKIN SERVICE
We had 2 rooms booked - our room was ready at 12n. Our friends tried to contact the AH service for instructions on getting into their room and when no-one was responding, we ended up taking our friends into our room to share the Sofa Bed. they were refunded and a credit voucher offered but nothing was offered to my husband and I for the inconvenience.

This is a very nice hotel, winery, facility. Quiet, beautifully kept and appointed. Part of a winery with a restaurant on the grounds. All and all it greatly exceed my expectations and I would return here.

We stayed two nights. Room was ready early, clean and had everything we needed. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Tastings offered with exceptional service and informative narrative by Riccardo. Very good cappuccinos made by delightful barista in reception area near restaurant. Beautiful gardens. Restaurant not tried on this occasion. We had prebooked two others within five minutes from Serafino, can recommend Pizzatecca, Oscars and a stay at Serafino. Would definitely stay again.

Received message recommending booking for dinner only to arrive and discover that there is no dinner on Sunday. No bar, nothing. And, there were power issues that caused the smoke alarm and phone to reset several times at 1am to 2am = nice. This is a great place that is in serious need of investment to bring it in line with modern accommodation.

Good morning David. Apologies that you didn't find the accommodation suitable. Yes, unfortunately the whole Mclaren Vale area had power outages repeatedly that evening due to the weather. Our bar is open Thursday - Sunday lunch time, apologies if you weren't made aware of this. We wanted wheelchair accessible and got one out three nights. Not every room had a microwave, not every room had extra blankets. Crap office hours .On the plus side the head man at reception was very nice

Unfortunately we only have the one wheelchair accessible room and it needs to be booked in advance. Sadly another guest had already booked this room so we apologise for the inconvenience. When you stay with us again, please contact our out of hours number that we post on the door in the evenings and our staff will be more than happy to assist you with extra blankets or anything else you might require :)
