The Magestic Lion manages a few properties in the area, but they are all close by. This location was quiet and exactly what I needed. Without a reception, the door is monitored by key card, but entry is no problem. I stayed two nights and it was the perfect setup to just relax.

We booked this as a 1 night transit stop. Nice hotel but the check in was odd. We turned up at the hotel. No reception and no way of entering. Found a poster on the wall that instructed us to walk to the Lion apartments, 10 minutes back the way we had come, with our bags. We had to check in there then walk back to the hotel. If it hadnt been for this palaver late in the day our rating would have been higher. Please post this on your booking confirmation to save other guests the hassle.

Parking was tight but great to off street. Small rooms but enough room for a one night stay. Only criticism is the shower head more like a high pressure hose.

Second time staying here- it's a nice, cute hotel with a big comfortable bed and the artworks are great. The rooms are small but they got everything that's needed for a short trip.

I have stayed at this hotel before and had a nice experience, but unfortunately this time it was just okay. The room was not very clean, and the shower was quite bad, with water going everywhere. The bed was also uncomfortable, especially because the mattress zip was sticking out and hurting while sleeping. Overall, this stay was disappointing compared to my previous experience.

For the price, it's exactly what you'd expect. The walls and door don't really prevent noise, so you hear every other guest entering and leaving their rooms. Probably wouldn't stay again, but it did he trick for a solo traveler.

I liked where it is situated. Great foodie strip. Chemist close by. Carpets could have been cleaner had a few marks around the bed near the desk. Air conditioning was great. After initial misunderstanding (long flight back to Adelaide) turned out to be very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was good. Would book again. Only missing things were bottled water, knives and folks :)
