Great place to visit, authentically restored castle ran by the descendants of the same family. Owner Francesco and his wife are very friendly, generous and very kind hosts. Even though the castle isn’t in the main traveler’s route, it is most definitely worth taking a detour to stay here!

Unique and wonderful! We stayed here because we wanted to see the flower fields near Casteluccio. We drove up from Rome in about 4 hours through beautiful mountains. This castle (a former defensive fortification) was a breathtaking sight at the end of the drive. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Francesco and his sister Lara. Our baggage was taken up the stairs via an amazing custom monorail. The room was comfortable and cool, the linens were excellent quality, our sleep was refreshing, and breakfast healthy and satisfying. They feature delicious bottled juices. Francesco gave us a tour of the fascinating historical interior rooms including the winemaking room with the grape stomping vats! I highly recommend Castle di Luco, we will treasure our stay here forever!

L'accoglienza è stata superlativa e l'atmosfera all'interno del castello.è veramente speciale. I proprietari, che vivevano precedemente nella fortezza arroccata su uno sperone roccioso, mettono l'ospite totalmente a proprio agio e offrono pure la possibilità di una visita guidata dell'intera struttura con riferimenti storici e aneddoti del passato della loro famiglia. What a lovely place to stay!

What an amazing place! Free tour of the castle on arrival and it was great to learn about the history and the restoration. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. The rooms are decorated to a high standard with fully modern heating and aircon, I’d highly recommend to anybody wanting to visit the Italian mountains.

It's a bit off the beaten path, which is exactly why we LOVED this property! We had the most incredible experience staying at this beautiful castle! From the moment we arrived, the owner was so warm and welcoming, making us feel like family. Their hospitality was unmatched, the free tour was so interesting, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were full of modern updates and well preserved history, and the food was absolutely incredible! Whether it was a traditional breakfast or a gourmet dinner, every meal was prepared to perfection. We couldn't have asked for a more unique and unforgettable getaway. Highly recommend! We're planning a return trip soon!

An absolutely amazing experience to stay in a Castle is beautiful surrounds. The restoration of the 11th century castle is incredible. Step stone walkway leads up to the entrance. Francesco was a wonderful host and we had a few laughs with translation oh for technology, son Matteo was very warm and knowledgeable as we explored all the rooms of the castle. Hidden Gem

Beautifully restored medieval castle run by a friendly and welcoming family. Tour of the castle is a must. High standard of accommodation. Tasting menu dinner is delicious. Everything was perfect. If we could give more than 10 we would. And look out for the ginger goat living in the rocks around the castle. Such a character !

A true castle in a lovely setting. Clean, spacious and quiet room. Only reopened since March 1st the kitchen is still spinning up, but we had a lovely dinner and breakfast. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It is a castle, so be prepared for a little climb to the entrance.
