"This property has incredible views over mountains and down to the Mediterranean Sea. There was no one on site when we checked in. We received a message telling us how to get the key. The rooms are small and need updating. Paint is peeling off the walls. Late at night the hot tap broke completely and there was no one around but luckily there was a stop valve under the sink. You have to use What’s App to communicate which was ok the next morning. The restaurant is good but separate from the hotel...

"I would not recommend staying at this property. In my experience, it does not meet the standard of a 4 star hotel. We were initially assigned a room with a strong mold/sewage odor and extreme dampness. The walls and ceiling felt soft to the touch, and the air conditioner was leaking enough water to create a puddle on the floor. We requested a room change immediately but were told the hotel was full. After waiting four hours for a maintenance technician, they agreed the room was unacceptable,...

Great roof terrace. Rafa and Ninet are lovely hosts with great knowledge of Competa and the surrounding area. Perfect place to stay if you want to spend some days in Competa."
