Nice staff but booking messed up

I booked this hotel for 3 guests and my booking said it was for 3 twin bunk beds. However when I arrived they only had one bed reserved for me in a room that had 3 bunk beds (all the other cots were taken) and I had to find another place for my two friends to stay. Agoo staff helped me find another place with no problem, but I wish they had reviewed the booking to see that it was for 3 people since that was clear on my end. The facility is lively but the air conditioning is weak and my room was hot all night. The location is ok not the greatest. I’d recommend it if you just need a place to crash for a night or two because it’s cheap, breakfast was good, and staff are friendly, and if you don’t mind warm sleeping conditions.

スッタフはみんなとてもフレンドリーで何度も要望に応えてくれる　晩御飯をお願いしたのだが最高においしかった　部屋にテレビはないけどそれが却って熟睡できとてもよかった　泊まっている客のほとんどがヨーロッパ人で変な人はいなかった

Great Experience

It was a very good hostel. I enjoyed my stay, the people I met and the staff. The area was not ideal, however, you will find that in Accra there are more expensive hotels in worse areas than Agoo. I will go back and I would recommend it. I also really enjoyed Accra.

Nice House, perfect place to make new friends

I liked to stay in Agoo as the house was nice with a big living room with dining table and a lovely terrace with comfortable sofas where I made some new friends. One staff member was very nice and went out for dinner with me and some others staying there. Staff and manager really friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast was included in price. Internet working. However it seemed that I was the one that had a bit of bad luck as: - my pre-arranged airport pick-up didn't show up (they we're terribly sorry and usually have a weekly plan for all the airport pickups) - the bed in the 6-girls dorm I was given - turned out that I was already taken when I got back to the hostel at midnight. One staff member offered me then to stay in the boys 6bed dorm or to put a Matrace on the floor in the girls dorm (all the other rooms/beds we're occupied). - finally the second night I stayed there I got back to the hostel at 2am - the security man wasn't there and the main entrance gate door locked - so my friend climbed somehow over to open it (after ringing the door several times). The security guide was let go the next day and the manager was apologising. The hostel is actually secured with a fence and usually a security guide is always there. Overall I would still go back, as the place is cozy and good the meet new people.

Relaxed hostel in busy Accra

A warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, comfy rooms, good showers and much needed air conditioning! We felt welcome and at home. Easy access to Accra's facilities and a lovely secluded sunnterrace fir sipping a beer on a warm evening!

Good stay

Great stay. Next to the president's residence therefore very safe. However, really close to Nina which is a very poor neighborhood and dangerous.

Convenient and Clean Hostel

I have no complaints whatsoever, I am planning my next trip there. Helen the owner is accommodating, the staff are friendly and seem happy to work there- Awa, Richard and Quarshie.

Great Facilities. Quiet & Cool room (Great AC!).

Nice enough staff but not a tonne of interation with staff or guests. Good clean, comfortable place to crash and hang out though.
