Charming Beach Cottages

The beach cottages where clean, which is always my #1 concern. There are no frills at this property. It is quaint and pleasantly quiet, however, the property could use some work and cleanup both inside and outside. The person at the front desk is very nice and I think she said she lives on the property. There are DVD players in the rooms and movies for rent for $1 in the office. There are no hairdryers or irons in the room, and no laundry facility-so keep that in mind. Also, the property is quiet secluded, there are no major grocery stores nearby so plan ahead. The beach is within about a pleasant 5 min walking distance. Our overall experience here was good.

We enjoyed an amazing weekend at the beach. The Ocean Spray resort was perfect for our needs. Great location, short walk to the beach. We will be back!

Cute little cottages

Loved my stay at this cute little resort,just minutes from the beach. My stay started out kind of disappointing,finding out upon my arrival that I had over paid through this site,by almost 100.00 a night. The owner was having a special for the winter season book 3 nights pay for 2 and her nightly rates were only 110.00 dollars a night. She apologized but she had nothing to do with the online booking..She helped calm me down and make my weekend very relaxing, and I will be back.

Perfect for Crabbing

Central location for crabbing; in between Westport and Tokeland. The cottage had all the amenities needed for a short weekend stay, including pots, utensils, spices, and coffee. The bathroom is a little cold but the shower had hot water and great water pressure. The owner Diane was very accommodating and moved us when we found that cabin # 1 had only a small refrigerator. Best of all, this facility features a “ cooking and cleaning” room where you can clean and cook your crabs. This is very convenient! Very enjoyable trip overall!

We'll be back!

This place is a hidden gem! We loved the cute little cottage. It was comfy and had plenty of kitchen supplies to make cooking a breeze. The beach is an easy walk away, but you can drive right onto it if you want. The owner was warm and friendly. There's even a friendly fluffy cat named Rocky to make you feel at home.

Beach Cottage with lovely Charm!

we got there and checked in with ease even tho our reservation was lost! we had a wonderful stay in our beautifully decorated cottage with all the amenities you'll need for a vacation, including fresh coffee beans and a grinder! we had a great stay and they are very pet friendly! I would highly recommend this resort and will return again!!

Cozy cottage near beach

We stayed for three nights. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable and well furnished. The beach was farther than we expected. The beach is at the end of a road that has no sidewalks or walkway. When there is a lot of traffic to the beach, people on foot need to be very aware of cars whose drivers are not very aware of them. That said, I loved the beach. Dining in Westport was great! Generally, it was a positive experience. The onsite manager was gracious and helpful.

Cute but with some issues

Cons: Smelled musty, and animal urine odor on couch. Tiny tiny kitchen with room for only one person at a time. The shower was also tiny! My brother in law is a big man, and he barely fit in there. One of the rooms blinds were broken, and no curtain, so someone could see in the window when changing. But, the BIGGEST problem was the amount of fabric softener used in the bedding. My sister is very sensitive to smells, so had to try to sleep on the couch, that's when she noticed animal urine smell. My skin is sensitive to chemicals, so I broke out in a rash and itched like pins and needles, had to put on long sleeves and pj pants to sleep. PROS: The cabin was decorated really cute! The rooms are cozy and beautiful, and the bed was nice and soft. There was a fan in the room I was in. Total bonus because I like white noise when I sleep.

Great visit!

We had a great visit! We showed up around 8:30 pm. Being our first time, I wasn't quite sure how to get into the cottage (as the office was closed). Going over to the cottage's door, however, the key was easily detectable. I have no complaints for our visit. We had a lovely time. :)
