"Got upgraded which was nice, however the wear and tear is visible in this hotel, paint peeling things like that. Nothing over the top bad, comfy bed. Hottub wasn’t super hot, no towels in the pool area first thing in the morning. And with the construction happening, bit of a pain coming and going. Hop, skip and a jump from lots of shopping options and great food. Easy access to the highway, considering the construction. "

"Our family has been going here for many generations. We love the hotel, but it is in desperate need of renovations. It’s almost shocking that it isn’t being taken care of the way it should be. I am not sure that I will book through Expedia, as we were told that we could not upgrade because we had booked through Expedia. We were originally put in a terrible room that was so incredibly deep and overlooked a crappy roof. Had The Shining vibes. They were able to move us to a closer room, but we were celebrating our 23rd anniversary and had spoken to management prior, to try and give us a decent room. Then they stuck us in the first room. Never once welcomed us with a smile or said Happy Anniversary, etc. These little touches can make such a big difference in a guests experience. I’ve been in hospitality my entire life, and they definitely need to train their staff to smile and welcome people better. All of that said, the staff at the lobby bar were amazing. All of them! Now if the rest of the staff could learn from them. "
