Hampton Inn Thomson
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is in a very good location. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to speak with. Room was very clean and housekeeping was very attentive of our needs. Breakfast very good and fresh. Plenty of variety to choose from. I do recommend this hotel."
"This is a very nice accommodation right on the lake. Not super luxurious but very comfortable. They had a moderately good breakfast in the morning. The staff was all very friendly, and helpful. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The pool was nice. They got rid of the hot tub for some reason. They have a nice little area down by the lake with Adirondack chairs. Probably the best feature is that there’s a great Italian restaurant next-door with indoor and outdoor seating also right on the lake, but with an even better view than the hotel. We would definitely stay there again unless we decided to bite the bullet and pay the big bucks for the Ritz."
"Property could use a good overhaul. I initially went to the wrong room and the door frame was busted so the door wasn't even actually close shut. I pushed it open, the TV was on, and personal items on the furniture where the TV was sitting. Immediately I left because I knew someone was in that room (not at that moment, thankfully). The showers are awful, takes a while to get the water to come on and then sometimes hard to shut off. It could be cleaner. When you walk around on the floor in socks and they're filthy after it's a problem. Either they are not mopping every time or they are using a dirty mop. And maybe they realize it doesn't matter because it's the only hotel in town. But they need to take pride in the fact it is and make it nice for the paying customers."
