A lovely hotel in a stunning setting, staff were friendly and helpful & done us a nice meal. Just one small gripe - when I booked on Expedia it gave me the option to have twin beds. However, when we arrived we were informed that the hotel have no twin rooms, only doubles.
This is truly a hidden gem in the area. We had a reservation at the Ronsel de Sil winery the next day and wanted to be close by, so I booked Cristosende. The inner court-yard is very romantic and our room was rustic yet spacious and comfortable (albeit a bit drafty as it's made of stone). I WILL say that if you absolutely speak 0 Spanish, you will have a hard time here (and in general, very little English is spoken in the area). I do speak some Spanish so it was manageable. The staff here was very kind and patient none-the less, even with the language barrier. They could have rolled their eyes and just taken advantage but they were genuinely accommodating. The food is very good as well. You should honestly just book both the dinner and breakfast as restaurants are few and far between. The dinner included wine and seemed pretty typical of Galician cuisine. There was at least 1 vegetarian option as well as whole fish for two which was simply prepared and delicious. Breakfast was fine- there was some fresh fruit and baked bread with jam with coffee (espresso) included. Honestly, I still can't believe this place is as affordable as it is....GO THERE NOW.
