The pick up from the bar on the camino worked perfectly and the drop off was equally easy. The place is beautiful and the staff work really hard. We met a couple of other pilgrims and became fast friends over afternoon glasses of beer and wine from the “honor kitchen” while sitting outside on the courtyard patio in a tiny, quiet hamlet. 「The Oca hotel was ideally located for us as we had completed the El Camino two days prior and wanted to be a bit away from the busy part of Santiago but still with easy access to the train station and good restaurants. 「Just out of town but they do a free shuttle bus into the town. A cab is €10. We stayed in their apartments (opposite the main hotel) which gave you a small lounge, conservatory and then the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It smelt a bit musty but we were there a few days and so it soon cleared. There was also a car parking space under the apartment. We never ate there but used the sun terrace and pool and had a night cap in the bar.」
