"The King’s Throne is a far better option than a sterile Motel/Hotel option. Landon is a wonderful host and the house itself is great example of fin de ciècle architecture and how it was presented in middle class America at the time. You will never see quarter-sawn wainscoting and crown moulding like this in a conventional rental. The King’s Throne theme (probably) isn’t the look of the exterior but the chess board in the living room and chess pieces placed about the interior. All Kings? This is...

"Top priority, comfortable bed - check. Convenient location, just a couple minutes off Rt 23. Super accommodating desk clerk (Janette), who fixed our reservation for us - I swear we reserved a king bed, but we got two queens - anyway, she moved us. She also recommended several places to eat, and Inside the Five Brewery was excellent. Sylvania is a pretty town, we will stay here again."

"Friendly staff, very nice room"

"I liked how it was within walking distance from several things downtown. It also overlooks the river and lots of colors shining at night. Parking was easy, except if there is a hockey or baseball game going on. We ended up using valet parking which worked well. Overall, great place to stay in downtown Toledo. "

"The hotel has a great location. There are many choices for food & attractions nearby. The staff is friendly & the restaraunt onsite is good. One miss - we were not told upon check-in that you must let the front desk know by 1pm if you’d like your room cleaned. We learned that information from another guest. Overall, we would recommend this hotel. "

"The hotel was very clean, current and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the pillows were small and not firm. That could be personal liking but I needed several pillows to be able to lay comfortably."
