「I rarely stay at “suite” hotels when I’m on a road trip. I just need a bed, a bathroom, and maybe a tv. But the price and location was perfect for this stop so I booked it. The property was clean, well-staffed, and, because there was a neat little “kitchen” in the room and a few decent microwaveable options in the lobby store, I was able to have a late meal (including ice cream for dessert!) in my room. On real plates. With real flatware. I checked out the pool area but didn’t end up swimming...

「So, in honesty, I booked this not knowing it was a bed and breakfast… BUT it turned out to be wonderful. It is called “The Sanctuary” for good reason. Dora and Ed are wonder hosts who definitely went above and beyond for our meager overnight stay. The room was clean, the property was so peaceful. Helped my wife and I start out with a slow relaxing morning before making our way to downtown Detroit. Can’t recommend this enough to people who don’t mind a bed and breakfast.
