"Each morning we sat in the living room enjoying a cup of coffee while watching and listening to the river flow by. We could see the young deer walking in the river nibbling on the overhanging leaves and a heron fishing for his dinner. The home is small, but roomy and very open. "The cottage was perfect for our trip. The bunk bed with a trundle was great for the teens while the adults were comfortable in the other two bedrooms (we didn’t have need for the Murphy bed in the living room, but if we had a larger group, it was another sizable bed! "I was at this property for less than 12 hours. We needed a stopping point for the night. We came across this place and the price wasn’t outrageous. I didn’t realize until the next morning in an email I saw that the company asks you to be there before 9pm for check in. We called and said we’d be a bit later than that and she was kind enough to wait for us. Check in was pleasant, and the room was absolutely perfect - it’s too bad we couldn’t stay longer and explore the property. I will be back with the kids soon enough!"
