The weather in the Willamette Valley of Oregon had been less than ideal for eclipse viewing for a few days, thick clouds were rolling in in the mornings and haze from wildfires took up the skies in the afternoon. Luckily, the gods heard our prayers and we had clear blue skies in the morning on Eclipse Day. Seeing the sky go dark and stars that we'd only see in the winter was an experience of a lifetime. "The room is very nice and clean. The bed is comfortable. there wasnt a hair dryer or any small bottles of shmpoo, but I wasn't upset over that, just surprised The lady who checked me in was quite pleasant. I can hear some road noise from the freeway, but it's not bad, and the parking lot is well lit. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."
