"We had just stayed in a LaQuinta in Glen Rose, TX and it was wonderful. The low rating here is due to a couple of things--one of which is out of the control of the local hotel. Unlike in Glen Rose, we needed to do a couple of tasks for work and needed access to the wifi. We were told by the staff that Wyndham had recently changed their policy for free wifi access so that you had to "join" their rewards program. "Nice hotel in a great part of town just off I-35. A lot of shopping and eateries near by. There is a bar on site which I did not visit. The hotel property is nice and clean. The room was clean as well. The beds were comfortable. I slept well. Of note, I did get charged a $14 a day parking fee which is a joke. It’s self parking right in front of the building! I also felt like the carpet in our room was outdated and just ugly imo. I’m not much for the orange striped theme. I also think...
