Disappointing stay – Hidden swimming pool fees and terrible communication
Review:
We recently stayed in room 2, having booked through Expedia. The main reason we chose this specific hotel was the presence of the swimming pools (and sauna).
According to the information provided on Expedia, the only extra surcharge mentioned was for breakfast; there was no mention whatsoever of additional costs for the pools. Sauna was more or less expected but no price info on Expedia.
When we were confronted with this unexpected fee for the pools on day one, we tried to address it. For us, it is not about the money itself, but about the principle and the terrible communication.
This poor service started online and continued at the front desk. We explicitly informed the hotel that we did not agree to this retroactive surcharge and that it is their responsibility to ensure their listing details are accurate.
Unfortunately, the accommodation completely failed to respond to our concerns. We expected a professional solution, but received nothing but silence.
Do not go there. If there is a problem, no one will help. No service. No communication. Very disappointed.
