"We just finished a three night stay at the Hotel Ambassador in Split, Croatia. We were very please with the service we received from the reception desk, housekeeping and from the dining staff. The room was lovely with views of the Riva and the sea. We especially appreciated fresh bottled water and chocolates left on our pillow. We would definitely stay again if we return to Split."

"I would call the room spacious but not luxurious. It smelled like smoke and they did send someone up immediately with some spray to take out the odor. The blackout curtains did not quite cover the wall of windows so streetlight came through We were very disappointed about the parking situation. Thought we were getting valet secured parking in a parking garage but it’s actually the open torn up lot next door. Very confusing as the building also houses medical center with same name. Neighborhood is in the projects and we could not find a dine in restaurant in a several block radius. Ended up with take out burgers from a pizza place that were horrible and ate them at the Irish bar that only serves drinks next door. Did not use hottub on deck. Breakfast room was unmanned so it was just there to help yourself. We couldn’t figure out how to use expresso machine so just had Nescafé we booked here due to the convenience and ease of catching the car ferry to Hvar which was a 8 minute drive straight Would not stay here again. Just wasn’t our type of hotel or guesthouse "
