A great hotel

Great Lake views with space room for the family of 4. The breakfast buffet was also excellent! The offered free bikes to cycle around the lake. They also have lots of entertainments for kids. It’s definitely a good resort for family vacation.

Good location right on the lake and free bikes to use and the bike path is in front of the hotel. Our room has the lake view with a balcony, great view for sunset and sunrise. The room is spacious with a Japanese style sitting room that can be completely closed. The bathroom has an onsen style hot tub. The breakfast was average. Highly recommended

Sun Moon Lake is a treasure to the country of Taiwan and staying right on the lake at the Sun Moon Lake Hotel enabled us to experience it by boat, walking and biking. This hotel is perfectly located.

We had an excellent stay. The room was very spacious and had a direct view of the lake, with friendly and professional staff across all departments of the hotel. It’s literally ten steps away from the broad walk around the lake, and the hotel offers free bike rentals for guests to use. Highly recommend

Good location but hotel feels outdated

Well located hotel and staff are good/helpful. The hotel itself is showing its age and needs to be refurbished. Whilst beds are good, rooms look old and bathrooms are unusual! Breakfast has a good selection but surprised that the bar never opened on a Saturday night.

great location on the lake

the window view facing the lake is amazing. the room is nice, comfortable . the bikes are very old and many of them were difficult to get the kickstand to move. the breakfast was typical asian fare. right on the bikepath so nice area to walk and hangout.
