"Some friends booked for us to stay here whilst attending a sporting event whilst over from the UK. It’s a conference centre first and foremost and for the ten days we were there there were no conferences so was very very quiet with limited facilities available. However, it proved to be an excellent base for us, the rooms were very comfortable (the beds are huge) and provided kettles, toasters, fridge etc. There’s no reception after I think about 5pm so having left my keycard in the room at 9pm at night thought I had a problem, not so, Victor who sleeps on site was brilliant in getting me back into my room, many thanks much appreciated. Staying here you need a car, loads of restaurants, shops, facilities within a 10 minute drive. "

"The staff were all good, very helpful and obliging. The hotel has obviously been a tremendous building over the years, but is in need of a lot of TLC. The lighting is poor and it would brighten the place up a bit if some appropriate modern lighting was installed. Our bed was not that comfortable, but a couple of wines the second night made it a bit better. There is no lift in the hotel, so luggage has to be carried upstairs by hand. The shower is above the bath and not the best for elderly guests. On the better side, the continental breakfast, whilst pretty basic, is ample. Finally, would we stay at this hotel again - probably not, but it was certainly an experience on this particular stay."
