I did not like the fact that there is no Wi-Fi at the hotel, no air conditioning, and no TV in the room. It was very warm in our room, 71°, and the window only opened 3 inches. There was no mini fridge, and no microwave. When people are traveling, it is nice to have those amenities in the room because they frequently have leftovers. The lack of coffee is another thing, some strange contraption in the rooms for making coffee, and if you wanted one from the lobby, you had to purchase it, even if you were a guest. And that’s just straight up coffee, no variation, no variety. The property is beautiful, and the room is spacious, and it definitely gives the feel of being at an old-fashioned up north Lake Lodge. However, due to these lack of amenities, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel.

The property is in a gorgeous area by the lake. Wildlife is around, it is peaceful and relaxing. It was a little difficult getting used to no tv or internet access, but it does make things more quiet and relaxing to be unplugged. There wasn't a mini fridge which would have been nice, but next time we'll just bring a small cooler.

Beautiful location, but service needs improvement The hotel is charming and the setting is stunning, but several issues affected our stay. Restaurant service was very slow and staff seemed poorly trained. Food at the breakfast buffet often ran out and took time to be refilled. The bakery had no basics like bread or croissants despite repeated visits. We booked two rooms but were placed far apart. On the top floor, we heard constant noise from the roof. Most disappointing was the total lack of Wi-Fi in rooms or public areas, which was not clearly communicated when booking. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, but overall the hotel’s management needs attention.

It's in a great location, but it wasn't available both days we were there for morning coffee, and there is only one other spot to get coffee at 6:30 unless you drive 5 miles west. They also only had one tiny trashcan in the room and none on site. These might seem small, but that is what I walked away with.

It was all wonderful, but keep in mind there is no wifi, so prepare mentally. There are also no elevators or AC. We had a fabulous trip and enjoyed every minute of it. Disconnect and enjoy.
