The stay at the hotel was awesome but the restaurants in the area closed too early. One of the restaurants was opened but wouldn't allow me to eat because I'm black, ssaholes. So I got the full deep south experience. The fire department is right across from the hotel. Private parking in front of your room. So peaceful. I really enjoyed my room.
Annette was amazing in welcoming
To the property and acting as a concierge for the area activities. The room itself could not have been more lovely. Claw foot tub shower. Pink and green with a 48’ wainscot vanity topped sink. And of course a great nights sleep.

Jo-Ann was waiting for us to arrive abd was very welcoming. We asked where the witches grave could be found and despite needing to get ready for a relatives graduation she took us there rather than try to explain! Thats service above and beyond!!!
I was disappointed with my stay. It is not a normal hotel, more like a bed and breakfast. The room doesn’t cool off well, the halls are hot and humid, there’s no service for towels or cleaning. The room itself was a good size but the furniture was oddly placed and took up most of the space. The room was just dirty. The floors, the sheets were stained, and mountains of dust. There was leftover items from previous guests under the bed. The staircase leading to the room needs to be maintained, weeds and bugs everywhere. Overall disappointing.
The person in charge had always been so accommodating and always worked with me on my time leaving. If I ever stay in Mississippi I will always stay there.
This little cozy hotel in the adorable downtown area is a real gem. The bed was very comfortable. Super cute decor, and the service at the establishment was very friendly. I highly recommend!
Very quaint property, very uniquely decorated. Staff wasn’t onsite because we checked in later in the day but she called, then sent detailed instructions on where to get room key. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we are in the are
The hotel is unique and the caretaker was a great help at arrival. However the owner didn’t get notifications of my booking or arrival through Expedia. Also, the hotel needed some updates. The TV was broken and even if it was working it was too small considering how far away it was from the bed. In addition the smoke detector had been removed. This is a very old building so this was concerning.
There was no hot water in the hotel which ruined my trip... I was told by the lady that if I needed anything to call her cell as nobody works there full time... I called her cell repeatedly and no answer - the check in took an hour which is way too long also
Staff was very kind and accommodating. Motel was very unique and so quiet. If you like modern motel style then this is not for you. It’s more of a vintage vibe. After 7pm you feel like you are in a Ghost town. Main Street is completely empty not a person or car in site. I had never experienced anything like it. We parked in back and the parking lot was well lit and behind the fire dept and police dept so we felt safe. There was a few things that are not up to par but overall for the age of the building this place is well maintained. I wouid highly recommend and do plan on staying again next time we are in the area. Only complaint is there is steep stairs I’m in front and back in order to get to the rooms. A little difficult to carry luggage.
Super cute old hotel. Annette was very nice and friendly and accommodated our late arrival. We had a little lizard visitor, but it managed to escape out he window from my daughters (who were willing to take it home). Wish we could have spent more time there. :)
The hotel has a boarding room style feel to it which was interesting. You do have your own shower and restroom. We placed the oscillating fan in front of the A/C unit so that it would circulate the cool air better. Which worked great! Overall the place is cute and we would stay there again. The staff was very informative and friendly. As an FYI, the restaurant options are limited unless you travel to a bigger surrounding city like Jackson.
There was mold on the walls and pictures. The housekeeping was non existent but could be fooled by the smell of bleach when entering the room. The space in door was big enough to see my bed before opening the door. I could go on, but I will stop at I will not be returning. Nice people though.
The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The only complaint that i had was the ac. It was so hot 🔥. The ac had been on all day and when we got back to the room it was still hot.
