Misleading advertisement

This hotel was nothing that I expected and very difficult to even locate, as the name of the hotel on Expedia states "City Boutiqe", but somehow in translation the sign above the hotel is "City Exquisite" or "Luxury Exquisite". Also, when in China, you really need the Chinese name and directions in Chinese to locate places, and this info is not provided anywhere on the Expedia site nor through the booking info, etc. Upon finally arriving to this hotel they could not find my check in, despite my providing the itinerary number.. This resulted in a long and confusing delay. No restaurants were open, although, I came to understand it was actual New Years Day in China so nothing was open anywhere. The biggest disappointment was the room. It was dirty and nothing like the photos on Expedia. This is not a normal hotel and you can very quickly see that once you arrive. When I tried to get a taxi on departure I was told to walk out to the street, which ended up being a 3 block walk to an extremely busy intersection, not an ideal place to be trying to pull suitcases and then flag down a taxi.

簡易ホテル

今回、国際会展中心に行く用事があったので、地図で一番近いホテルを、予約したのですが、実際の場所は、島の中心付近で、たどり着くのもやっとでした。とりあえず、地図の場所は、正確に記載してください。名前も、都市精品主题酒店とのことです。ホテルの快適さを求めるなら、ほかのホテルに泊まるのを、お勧めします。タオル、ボディシャンプー、シャンプー、ドイヤー、歯ブラシは常備しています。エアコン、ＴＶは、あります。

This was not the one we booked

City Boutique Hotel is a Chain of Hotels in Xiamen. We had booked the one which was close to the Xiamen International Exhibition Centre about 0.5 km from the Hotel. On reaching Xiamen we were alotted room in City Boutique Hotel about 7 km away from XIEC. Complementary breakfast had nothing for Indian's or veggies. Even the most common in all hotels like " Bread & Butter" was not there. No complimentary drinking water. Although its cheap but poor fecilities.

Deceived by Incorrect info in the website

I booked this hotel since it was shown in hotel/expedia website that it is 800ft away from the convention center that i attended in Xiamen. After getting there I realized the hotel is almost 10KM away and when I inquired the hotel people their response is that the data online is incorrect which i already knew. Not sure whom to blame expedia or the hotel itself but I stayed here as I was so tired to blow this issue. Also I met few other indians in this hotel who booked through other sites like hotels.com, fell for this 800ft thing just like me. Also, the tough glass panelled walls in the room were so broken that the chillness from outside were entering the room easily in the joints that I felt like laying out in the platform with heating was working in the room of any sort. Carpet too was so worn out and dirty as if it had not been cleaned in years. Only consolation was that the hotel staff tried to do their best service though the hotel itself was not at par.
